Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

AbilityArc ("AbilityArc," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Life Lessons LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Durable Skills courses, the AbilityArc Reactor simulation platform, and abilityarc.com (collectively, the "Services").

Who Uses AbilityArc

AbilityArc is sold to educational institutions - colleges, universities, and secondary schools - for use by their instructors and students as part of technical coursework. Most of the personal information we process belongs to instructors, program administrators, and students accessing the Services through their school's account.

Information We Collect

Account and course information: name, email address, and institutional affiliation for instructors and students using Moodle-based courses and the AbilityArc Reactor platform; course progress, quiz and assignment results, and grades.

Simulation data: when a student completes an AI-powered scenario simulation (text or voice), we process the content of that conversation in order to generate a grade and feedback, using Google Cloud's Vertex AI and Text-to-Speech services.

Prospect and customer contact information: for school representatives and instructors we communicate with directly (e.g., through a demo request, purchase inquiry, or newsletter sign-up), we collect name, email, phone number, job title, and institution, managed through our CRM/email platform (Brevo).

Website usage data: when you visit abilityarc.com, we may collect standard analytics information (pages viewed, general location, device/browser type) via Google Analytics.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to: deliver and grade course content; provide instructor and administrator dashboards; respond to inquiries and provide customer support; communicate product updates and, where you've opted in, marketing content; and improve our courses and platform.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers who help us operate (e.g., our hosting provider, our CRM/email provider, Google Cloud for AI processing), each bound to use it only to provide services to us, and with the partner institution itself, since course/grade data is fundamentally part of the educational relationship between a student and their school.

Students and FERPA

Where AbilityArc processes student education records on behalf of a partner school, we act as a school official with a legitimate educational interest under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and we use that data solely to provide the contracted educational service to the school - not for independent marketing or any other purpose.

Children's Privacy

AbilityArc's Services are intended for use by secondary and post-secondary students in an institutional (school-supervised) context, not for independent use by children under 13.

Data Retention

We retain account and course data for as long as needed to provide the Services to a partner institution, and as required by our agreements with that institution.

Your Rights

If you'd like to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, contact us at the email below. If you're a student, we may direct your request to your school, since they are the primary holder of your education records.
